Prysm v7.1.6 is a patch release focused on targeted improvements to gossip validation, synchronization, operator-facing features, and performance. This version continues the development of Gloas (ePBS) and PeerDAS.
Operator and API Enhancements
A significant highlight for node operators is the new --postpone-shutdown-for-proposals flag. When enabled, it delays a graceful shutdown if a connected validator is scheduled to propose a block in the current or next epoch, helping to prevent missed proposals during node maintenance. A second shutdown signal will override this and force an immediate stop.
