Bor version v2.8.0 has been released, introducing the required changes for the upcoming Chicago hardfork.
This hardfork updates the gas pricing for selected EVM opcodes and precompiles. The goal is to better align gas costs with their actual execution cost, which helps improve and maintain network stability.
This is a mandatory update. All validators, RPC providers, node operators, and infrastructure partners must upgrade their Bor nodes before the hardfork activation block to remain in sync with the network.
